Recently a lot of videos have appeared for me on youtube about something called "RAID". What is raid? Is it good or better than AHCI? Should I convert my drives to RAID? Why should I or shouldnt convert to RAID? How can I enable it?

Ive got a 512gb m.2 nvme samsung ssd and a WD 1TB HardDrive

Thanks!

Did you watch any of the videos? They should have explained what it is. In stands for  redundant array of independent disks. It is a way of "pooling" disks together for various effect based on which raid level you choose. You can pool two together for a speed increase (with risks of loosing data if one fails) or copy data to two disks to have a safer system if one drive fails (though it is not a back up, more about uptime), you can use more than two disks to get a speed and uptime benefit.

Bot for your system, you don't need it.
