If I am understanding your question correctly, you want to extend the iPad screen space over to the Mac like how you can on the Mac side. unfortunately not the iPad will only mirror its screen to the external screen.

Hey, so if I mirror my ipad screen to my macbook can I extend the screen to fill the macbook? I don't see any option for it?

yeah I guessed so, but thanks anyway for clarifying. Kinda sucks but at least it's easy to mirror it.
