Hey! I'm at my wit's end.

I recently got a new PC and it has been running fine for weeks.

Specs

Intel i7 - 13700K

Deepcool LS720 ARGB Cooler

Gigabyte - GA Z790 Gaming X motherboard

Corsair Vengence RGB 32GB

Gigabyte RTX 4080 OC eagle

XPG 1TB GAMMIX S70 Blade, M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen4

XPG 2TB GAMMIX S70 Blade, M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Gen4

Cooler Master MWE GOLD 1250W V2 ATX 3.0 Power Supply

Just this Thursday when I turned it on I noticed my 2TB MVMe was missing. I checked disk management and it wasn't there, so I restarted and went to bios and it was missing there too.

I then took it out and put it back in again, and checked without putting the graphics card back in. It worked, it was back. Put It back together again and checked the health of the drive and it was fine.

Gamed on it for 7 hours with no issues.

Turned it on the next morning and it was gone again. This time I did a system restore back to a point I knew it worked, just in case something was causing a conflict. Checked disk management, gone, bios, gone.
I then changed it to a different m.2 slot and once again, it was back. I checked event viewer, found nothing, rechecked the health of the drive, fine. Even changed the letter of the drive. Played some games and did some uni work I had saved on it and it worked perfectly.

This morning I turned it on and it was gone again. I have not done anything with it yet because I am stumped. Is it a motherboard issue? Or is it the drive? or maybe even something else?

Sounds like a mobo issue. Have you updated your bios? If not, that's where I would start.

then lets double check for hardware issue. Do you have another system with an m.2 nvme slot?

Sorry, I'm new to this forum.

I don't have another system that is compatible. But I should be able to take it to my mates house next week to test.

But I will get the warranty started on the motherboard since it takes so long in my country. 🫠
