New cpu

I got a new pc today, and nothing posted, switched to the second gpu slot, and it posted. I tried with my old ryzen 1600, and it posted as normal in the first gpu slot, but with my new 5800x, it only posts in the second slot. 

 

Anybody know why? 

 

Motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming, 5800x, 7800 xt.

Check the pins on the cpu. It seems like one of the pcie pins is broken on the new cpu.

 

If you can return / replace it that’s your best bet.

The thing is, all the pins are there, and straight. I dont know anymore.

Yeah, if the old cpu works but new one doesn’t, just return it. Nothing much else to do.

Switched it for a new one, still not working in First pcie slot xd, im really lost about this

is the bios updated to support both cpu's?

Yeah, the latest, starting to wonder if its my mobo thats either bad, or old and slow. Have to buy a new one later this month when i get payed. IF that doesent work, i dont know.
