Hi,

I have a RTX 4070 and after an application has been in full-screen my pc often locks up, the monitor starts blinking and the "new device sound" from Windows is played. After it has blinked a few times a popup message will show in the lower right corner that "G-Sync display connected".

I really don't know what should be the next debugging steps should be.

What I have tried so far:

1: Changed the displayport cable going from my monitor to the GPU.

2: Changed the port that is used in the GPU.

3: Disabled G-Sync in the NVidia Control panel.

None of the above have seemed to help.

I have a Dell S2721DGF and my GPU is a Asus RTX 4070 TUF.

Hope someone can help, thanks.

It could be switching between g-sync mode.

Can you check event viewer for driver crashes. I dont think your issue has anything to do with gsync.

Hey Levent, I have tried to figure out if there are driver crashes and I cannot see anything in the event viewer. I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 11 and thought that might be a good idea to start from a clean slate, so I did a clean install of Windows 11, but the problem persists here as well.

Any ideas on what to do next?
