str4vag

Specs

MOBO : X670 Aorus Elite AX (Rev 1.0)

Bios version : f11c

CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 7700x

Ram : 32GB (2X16GB) DDR5 Corsair 5600MT/s

GPU : ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB GDDR6X OC Edition

I am on a clean install of windows 11 pro, currently facing the following issues :

1. PC will get a "driver power state failure" often when idling or going to sleep/rebooting

2. Windows apps (store/one drive/office etc) is not able to sign in. sign in page will just be working but not completing

3. icue cannot be installed to 100%. will always get stuck at 98%

4. Gigabyte control centre will not load the update page to install the latest drivers and will keep working but not showing any result.

I have reinstalled windows twice and getting the same issues. Wondering if its hardware and how do i verify if its hardward.

Is there anything in event viewer from the crash times from your first point?

Could be related but unlikely, are you using any decluttering software on the fresh installs? If not, ignore this.

These are the steps I would take if I was y'all:

  • Load optimized defaults in bios
  • Run Windows Memory diagnostic
  • Download something like CPUID HWmonitor and check temps and voltages..etc
  • use manufactures diagnostic software or something like crystal disk info to check HD health / status / temps.
  • If you have any overclocks / undervolting .etc turn this stuff off
  • Run some stability tests (Ryzen Master for example)

Try updating after fresh install, then manually install drivers from manufacturer's website for MoBo. Install GPU drivers via NVCleanStall, choose first 4 options, in expert tweaks choose "Disable Installer Telemetry and Advertising", "Disable Telemetry", "Enable Message Signaled Interrupts", "Disable HD Audio Sleep Timer", "Rebuild Digital Signature", "Using Method comoatible with Easy Anti-Cheat".

See if this helps.

Also try updating your BIOS.

Purify your Windows 10/11, don't give Microsoft anything that you don't want to share.

Ok. i've isolated the issue. The cause is the Corsair Commander Pro. Its malfunctioning and causing the issues. I have unplugged it from the internal usb header, and so far my PC is working as normal.

RMA with them if it's in warranty
