GPU Bus at x2 Gen3

Go to solution Solved by PiterMcFlebor,

Find out that was my mobo / CPU causing issues with the 4060 Ti. I don't know why but I've tested on another mobo and it's working correctly.

I will edit this when I get a new mobo to test the GPU.

Hello,

This is my second post about this. I refunded the other GPU and bought a new one from MSI.

I have a RTX 4060 Ti (16gb) and fresh installed Windows 10, but when I check GPU-Z or NVIDIA control panel it just shows "x2 Gen3" or "x2 1.1". Tried everything I don't know what else I can do to fix it. My previous GPU 3060 is working correctly at x16 Gen3.

GPU-Z:

Update on this:

I cleaned everything from dust. When I turned on the PC got a BSOD with "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" message.

What could be causing this issue?

Which motherboard and did you set any appropriate BIOS settings?

I'll be following as I've never gotten my 4090 to run at 16x either.

EDIT: Just to clarify your 4060Ti should run at PCI-E 4.0 x8 and that is shown correctly in GPU-Z. However the actual speed is showing as PCI-E 1.1 x2.

In my case my 4090 is PCI-E 4.0 x16 but it only runs at PCI-E 4.0 x8.

My specs are:

- MSI B450M GAMING PLUS

- Ryzen 5 3600

- PSU Corsair 650w

- M.2 SSD

I have the latest BIOS installed, tried setting manually the PCI gen to 3 but nothing worked. Then I've set all the values to default but also didn't change anything
