Resizable BAR

Hello, thanks for reading this topic.

 

I want to buy an Arc 770 graphics card, but it doesn't perform well without resizable bar.

 

I have an Asrock Taichi X370 with Ryzen 2700X.

 

People said resizable bar is not available with this setup.

 

I've searched in my BIOS and resizable bar is available.

 

Do you think resizable bar will work with the Arc 770 with my setup?

 

This is something really new to me, and my research was not enough to understand.

You cannot use Re-bar with a x370 and 2700x without updating the bios. If you HAVE an up to date bios and it shows up, youve already stated yours does, it should work. There may be some issues here and there but with enough researching you should be able to manage it. At one point it was only a newer mobo and cpu thing, but theyve update enough of them to make it work for some older ones, but its far from perfect with some of these boards.

If these randos on reddit are to be believed, then yes, you can get rebar to work with a 2700X installed in an X370 board:

That said, they weren't talking about Intel GPUs, but if rebar works for an Nvidia card, I don't see why it wouldn't work with an Intel one.

Thank you, Shimeji. My bios is updated and the resizable bar option is enabled, but I don't know if this really works. I need a compatible GPU to test. Before buying the arc, I'll try to find more information.
