You can go either :
3 separate PCIE cables, using just 1 8pins connector on each cable (the main), leaving the daisy-chained connector on each cable unused.
 

or

1 PCIE cable with both the main & daisy-chained 8pins connector, plus 1 more PCIE cable with just the main 8pins connector.

I have a RM1000x 80+ gold PSU and an 7900 xtx. With my power supply, I was given there PCIe cables with 2 bits that split at the end of them. Is it alright to use 1 cable and half of another cable. I've seen posts about not to use dual cables because it can mess things up. Don't want to somehow damage my expensive GPU. These are the only PCIe (3, all the same) cables I was given. Advice would be much appreciated because I'm scared to plug them into my GPU. Or is there some other correct way of doing this? My GPU has 16 pins or 3 x 8 pins. Sorry I am new to this stuff. I decided to ask directly if you also know if I can get SINGLE CONNECTOR PCIe cables that are compatible with my PSU that I stated before as I don't know if I can use the pigtails that are provided with this PSU with the GPU I have. Could provide soultion or a link where I could buy these single connections for my PSU as they are corsair but I don't want to mistakenly buy one that will damage my system due to compatibility issues, thanks.

Your PSU is a quality unit.
It is fine to use the pigtails.

RM1000x is designed to be able to do 300W per cable. Its a type-4 cable unit meaning it can support the 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cable, therefore 600W through just two cables. So fully using daisy chained cables is perfectly fine, even if its an RTX 4090 only using 2 cables to get all 4x8pins.

1) I hate that Corsair has taken this approach to some of the most expensive, reliable PSUs on the market.

 

2) The cables are rated to handle using the pigtails, and you can do so confidently. It won't make a lick of difference in your experience.

 

3) These cables are not like the newer power cable. They are much more reliable and safe. Be sure to see they are snug when installing them and you will  be good to go.
