So I have started planning for a small server, and I'm currently looking at using the i3 line of processors to be the core. The 4130T seems interesting to me because of its low power comsumption. The question I have, is that CPU worth it for a server? Or any of the i3 lineup? I'm going to use it for file storage, and possibly for hosting things like small minecraft servers/hl2 mod servers for me and my friends. I don't really know much about lower end Intel stuff, because Iv'e mostly resorted to AMD stuff when it comes to lower tier CPU's, because they cost less most of the time. But they have their downsides, and I want to go Intel for once :) So can you guys reccomend anything? Because I literally know nothing about this lineup, except for their low TDP's and stuff.

i would reccomend i3 over atom or amd apu's.

But for the time being, aren't xeons or opterons supposed to be on a server enviornment? i mean like if you're going to run it 24 hour straight it's gonna take it's toll on i3 overtime (not now tho) maybe two to three years.

Details separate people.
