How is this configuration? He will migrate his old drives and will get a Thermalright PA as a cooler. Nevertheless, would the boxed cooler suffice? He wants to stick to AM5, knowing that the 5800X3D would provide higher fps. 

My friend will use it for 1080p-Gaming and won't upgrade his monitor anytime soon.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhh depends. On cache sensitive title? Very. On more normal IPC-based workflow? 7600 floors it.
