Sound Card Help

Hey Guys,

 

I really need some help on choosing a sound card for my Corsair SP2500 I thought an Asus Essence STX II.

What shall I do?

What motherboard are you running?

You are likely not going to see any improvement over what is built into your board unless you are running say a pentium 4 based system, or your current chip does not function.

HP-DM3. Pentium U5400. 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz (Samsung iirc). Intel HD. 512GB SSD. 8TB USB drive (Western Digital). Coil Wine!!!!!! (Is that a spec?).

the Asus Essence STX is an ace soundcard, I love mine, plus it has RCA outputs ;)

I have a sabertooth z87

Test your onboard sound first. There is a very good (as in certain) chance that you will not improve over the onboard with a soundcard except maybe for software.
