Sony PS-T22 - Need speakers! (and amp, pre-amp maybe?)

Senzelian

Hey, I bought a used PS-T22 record player a while back and am now looking for a few recommendations to finally get some records playing. I just have no idea where to even begin. I'm not even sure whether I need a pre-amp or not.

I'm also not affraid to buy used; it is actually prefered to safe some money!

I live in Germany and I would say I'd spend up to 300€ to get it running. I mostly listen to rock, heavy metal and rarely a bit of classic.

Also I don't have too much space. Two bookshelf speakers should do the trick.

So what would you guys recommend to do? What are some decent speakers and which amps would I need? And which ones do you recommend?

Local thrift shops/used/2nd hand sites for an amplifier. Bonus if it already comes with a bundle record player then it has all you need already.

Speaker wise basically check the used availabilities and see what the original prices were. Usually were a decent indication of quality.

Worst case sets ya back about 150€ tops.

Got a PS-X60 myself picked up for peanuts. Then got a random decent sony reciever + cd combi and a broken record player who's preamp I reused. For 60€.

Speakers some older phillips that were high end home cinema for 25€ after about an hour in the shop checking all numbers.
