Stuttering PC Web just using discord 75% Ram usage

atavax

super high end PC, 1300w psu, 13900k, 7900xtx, 64gb of ram. 75% usage of ram and i don't even have a web browser open. When not doing anything. Mouse cursor is stuttering even when just using discord or web browsing. No singular program seems to be consuming a lot of ram, but there appears to be a lot of processes with Service Host the beginning of the name. I'm wondering if this is some kind of virus.

Have you tried a malware scan?

i've tried scans through windows threat protection. Is there a better option?

Some people use Malwarebytes, it's worked for me in the past.

hmm, well i downloaded it and gave it a go. One thing is, it doesn't seem like it takes very long to do a scan; I suspect it's not doing a very thorough scan. I wonder if there is a default setting i need to change somewhere.

Change it to do a full system scan or scan the whole drive
