First build need help with CPU (maybe??) issue

This is my first build and I frankly have no idea what's going wrong. I managed to run it just fine and get into BIOS while it was out of the case ,but once I installed everything into the case the cpu debug led came on and there is no picture. I have since taken everything back out of the case to check for extra standoffs or anything else that may be shorting the mobo however the results stayed the same.

I have reseated every component multiple times, I have redone thermal paste and cleaned excess, I've checked for any extra standoffs, I have made sure that HDMI is in the GPU, I reset the CMOS, I took out and replaced the mobo battery, and I checked for dead RAM.

parts list:

Montech X1 case

intel 17 12700k

AMD asrock challenger rx6600

aorus elite ax ddr4

crucial p3 1tb ssd

16gb (2x8gb) t-force vulcan z ddr4 ram

bequiet dark rock 4 cooler

powerspec 650w fixed cable PSU

notos o 120mm pwm fans (4x)

I also apologize in advance for the janky photos lol

Maybe it's the fans, it could also be a CPU/cooler mounting issue, maybe when the motherboard is on it's side and the cooler is hanging down the CPU doesn't make full contact with the socket. You should try installing the bare minimum in the case and try boot it up that way. You could start with just the motherboard, 8pin CPU, 24pin motherboard and power button and start from there. The i7 12700K should have an iGPU unless you bought the F model, so you can plug into the mobo to see if it posts. If with the bareminimum the system doesn't work it could mean there's a mounting problem as I've said before.

thanks I'll try that!

Ok. Also if it works with the bare minimum then you should start installing components back in one by one to find the culprit, if it exists. GPU, drives (not all at once, one by one), fans, other case connectors (USB, activity LED etc., again one by one). You don't have to do it in the particular order I mentioned. Also worth mentioning agaion to do just the power button and not connect any other case features, like the reset button or HDD/Activity LED's.

Yeah I tried it now and nothing changed. I also reseated the cpu since you mentioned it may be a mounting issue but still nothing. I also looked for potentially bent pins and as far as I could tell it was fine but, you may be a better judge of that than me. Also, sorry for responding kinda late.

Socket looks fine. It's odd it behaves that way. Does it change if the case is vertical or horizontal? Might be worth getting another case, or trying to see if the motherboard being vertical has any effect outside of the case. It might be better in the end to just RMA it all, maybe return it if possible if it's not possible to figure it out. I can't imagine anything else be the problem. Motherboard works fine outside the case, and doesn't work at all inside the case.

Yeah I don't know what would be up with it to make it stop working after just putting it in the case. I have another friend who might be able to check it out but I'll probably just do what you said and take it back to microcenter. Thank you for your time though!
