TP Link AXE75 vs ASUS AX86U (Wifi 6E vs. 6)

CyberFern0

I'm trying to decide on which router to get for our 1800 sq. ft. home. We don't have any 6E capable devices as of this moment but will in the future. The 6 GHz band seems like it will be very useful, but I heard the drop off is very bad. Also, is there any benefit the AX86U provides over the AXE75? I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. What do y'all think I should get?

Depends, can you wait for WiFi 7?  As that will be a much bigger deal as it should seamlessly connect to multiple frequencies at the same time.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7
