You'd have to sign on to an origins account to acces cloud computing, which was implemented as a way to enforce DRM because of the secondhand market for CPUs, you wouldn't own your own CPU, just a license to use one

Overclocking would become a DLC feature

Yeah... I doubt a whole lot would change. They still need to remain competitive with AMD so prices wouldn't skyrocket. If they forced users to use Origin or buy DLC to access something then they would lose customers.

If EA bought Intel, Haswell would have come out in March and it would have been broken. It also would require a constant connection to their servers to function.
