You get the idea that this is my first pc right and i dont really need an overkill system right now. Later on probably will upgrade but right now i do not need the power of higher components. Will only use it for studying and light gaming and thats it. People like u are just sad. Damn

take whichever one is cheaper, you won't regret it with any of those cpu

Ryzen should be better, especially when you consider that the platform supports the 5800X3D (one of the best CPUs ever). Especially when you consider that intel will not continue making CPUs for their current socket.

if you will only use it for gaming, take the intel pc. this intel processor has fewer, but more powerfull cores, which is better for gaming. if you do some other work on your pc, take the ryzen chip.

But I think Ryzen, in this case, I think, Ryzen will have a more flexible upgrade cycle going forward. Also, there are quite a few games that can utilise more than 4 cores nowadays, yes it does depend on the usecase, but I think that the Ryzen gets the win in the broad world.

im a team red supporter, and i would fully say ryzen actually, and the upgrade path is awesome.

look for another motherboard that has the best power delivery for your budget, that will be the most important.

I have r5 3600 and gtx 1070 ti and in pubg I have 100fps on hight settings, sons of the forest hight 90fps, hunt hight 80fps (1080p)

I would recommend 3600 because you can upgrade it to 5800x3d later

Exactly, I would recommend intel if they had another generation to come.

12100f is a better gaming CPU, with about 32% better single threaded performance.

I actually have both of these CPUs, and I'd take the 12100f personally. B760m will have better support in the long term, since Intel 14th generation will also be LGA 1700 compared to AM4 which is at max a 5800x3D.

@AAVVIronAlex @JoHeJo06 @Joker-_-Glitch  If the guy only has 600 euros to spend now.  where in the hell is he gonna get half of his budget again to buy an X3D?

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

14th gen is not going to be on the same socket. Otherwise I would have recommended it.

Who knows? Also, in that case more cores is better, especially today.

Every report I've seen shows 14th generation on LGA 1700 with backwards support.

"The Intel Raptor Lake-S Refresh Desktop CPU lineup will be supported on the existing LGA 1700 socketed motherboards within the 600 and 700-series lineup and launches in October 2023."

@Agall @AAVVIronAlex There is just speculation on these things at the minute no hard facts unless someone wants to supply a source.

You should never buy a PC with upgrades in mind.  Just buy the best you can afford at the time or else you'll end up cheapening out now and having a bad time

I'd take the 12100 over a 3600 anyday

I agree, the 12100f is a better gaming CPU.

I mention upgrades since the narrative that AM4 is better because it can accept a 5800x3D when we're talking about LGA 1700 is just moot, since any mid-high Intel 13th gen and potentially 14th generation will be far better upgrade paths than a 5800x3D.

So, you think it is okay that companies like Apple make their laptops unupgradable.

not always. i'd take an 12100 over say a haswell e 8 core

Well, depending on the usecase, and that is really old at this point, besides you can get Haswell extremes for dirt cheap these days, and they keep on getting cheaper. I would pick a Haswell.
