Hey guys, just thought I'd share a project I've been working on! I'm calling this the NucDeck. It's a NUC based handheld gaming pc.

I'm doing a series of videos on it as I work my way through designing and building it to hopefully create a bit of a community for the project. I'm getting close to having a complete design and once I do I'll be releasing all the files needed to build your own and hopefully the community will be able to create their own parts to improve it and make it suit any generation or brand of NUC! Anyway, here's a link to the latest video in the series in case anyone is interested:

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have so fire away if you think of anything!

Cost to build so far isn't going to really be relevant to everyone else as I'm on my third set of PCBs and components as I'm prototyping the controller and charge system. The screen and driver board was about $65AUD, I'm using a second hand 7th gen i5 NUC that cost me $200AUD and the batteries are about $50. I'm estimating that there'll probably be $100-150 in parts and PCBs for the final design so if you 3D print the housing yourself, you're looking at around $550aud (about $370usd) for this sort of spec level.

Thanks! It's CNC machined acrylic. I do like the clear but I'm planning to paint the housing in a transparent black paint to give it a nice smokey look.
