Are you talking about powerline Ethernet?

Are you talking about the modem/router/switch from your ISP?

Assuming I'm understanding you correctly, from a network topology standpoint it's the same; however powerline is a pretty bad technology unless you have perfect circumstances, so really only rely on it if it's your only option.

If you are asking if the powerline network adapters are as good as plugging directly into your router? No, they are not.

Sometimes they work reasonably well. Sometimes they work terribly. There are so many variables, like your home's wiring, how far away the adapters are, etc, it's really hard to say how well it will work. An actual Ethernet cable, is always a better option. Really today, with as fast as Wifi is getting, a good wifi router, and a good wifi adapter with good signal is likely a better option than a power line adapter.

No I mean something like this for example BrosTrend AC1200 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter, 1200Mbps Dual Band Universal Wireless Bridge for Printer, Smart TV, Blu-Ray Player, PlayStation, Xbox, etc, WPS Easy Setup, Connect a Wired Device to Wi-Fi https://a.co/d/hR04YJ3. Would it be worth the buy? Because I'm trying to get ethernent but the way things are right now it isn't possible so I'm looking for other options.

No. If you want Ethernet you need to have a physical cable go from your computer to your router.

If you have Coax between your computer and router that might also be an option and you would need to look at Moca adapters.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

It is used to deliver Cable TV or Cable Internet. Its not uncommon for this cabling to already be in the walls.

The thing is my Wi-Fi box can be moved but I have no idea where or how to plug in the dsl cable because sure it does go into the wall but nothing comes out on my end I just have to get the dsl working and I'll have everything set.

DSL uses Telephone wire. Sounds like the wire is not terminated in a wall jack, instead someone put an end on the line and plugged it in to your gateway at least thats what Im getting from what I have read. Without knowing the wiring in your home I cant say if you can move it.
