Alright so plug and play not an option here?

generally for consumer grade cards, it's always the same driver, no need to update if you go from Nv to Nv, they just offer "seperate" downloads for costumers who are slightly confused and wish to download things "specifically" for their card. its indeed always the same all in one driver though = )

the easiest and safest is to simply download the drivers for the 1650

jfyi: no.

i can go between my 1060 and 3070 without ever reinstalling drivers without any issues whatsoever for example.

+1. You can, just if you have software issue that is the easiest thing to blame. One way or another you're going to have to learn how to reinstall video drivers anyway.

So I can just replace video card and not do anything with drivers?

I just found out that the drivers are actually compatable, after I installed the new GPU and went to GeForce experience, I saw that my drivers are up to date and I had no issues

Yes, without any performance penalties, it runs completly fine, no blue screens, no nothing, and that was around 15 hours of graphics intensive gaming on that card.
