PC wont boot with GPU installed.

When GPU is installed only RAM lights up but fans etc wont start.

When GPU is not installed all frans start spinning and everything lights up. but ince 3900x doesnt have an iGPU I cant see what's what...

I've tried different GPU and different PSU.

PC specs:

CPU AMD Ryzen 3900x

MOBO: B550 Aorus elite v2

RAM: 16GB 3600 Corsair LPX

GPU: MSI 6900XT  /  MSI 1070

PSU: ST1200-PTS  /  BeQuiet 600w SFX-L

One thing to confirm is that you're using the GPU's display output.

Have you tried the other PCIe slots on the motherboard?

Why are you using an SFX-L with an ATX motherboard? 600W is quite low for a 6900 XT, bu obviously the 1070 should work fine with that.

Are you using a PCIe riser/extension?

I have tried all x16 slots with the same result: No fans spinning when GPU is installed.

I havent used a riser cable. GPU directly slotted in all x16 slots.

I tried both DP and HDMI on both cards.

Since my cpu doesnt have iGPU there is no use trying on my mobo.

I used the 600w just because I had that laying around without having to disassemble another rig. Just to try to get into bios.

I doubt its an issue with the PCIe bus and/or the graphics cards at this point. You've got some issue with the motherboard+CPU+RAM (platform). In my experience, Ryzen 5000 and before excluding the G series needs a VGA adapter to POST, so if its not POSTing with two different cards, then its likely not the problem. Without an iGPU, the CPU needs a dGPU.

I'd check RAM and CPU at this point, make sure there's no bent/missing pins and do RAM musical chairs to test every configuration you can of 1 and 2 DIMMs.

Are you using the cables the power supply came with for the card?
If you are not, that could be your issue, the cables are SPECIFIC to power supplies.

If its getting no power, this is your culprit.

If you ARE using those cables, look INSIDE the PINS to ensure they are not PUNCHED inside and not making contacts.

Also, 1 HDMI cord to the BACK of the GPU in question, incase you got onboard HDMI port (This should be obvious)
