Hey, I Just built a new pc for a friend and I am met with issues I never seen before.

The config :

Ryzen 5 7600x
Asrock a620m pro wifi
Corsair 2x 16gb ddr5 6000mts
Sapphire Rx 6800xt
Seasonic 80+plat 850w

Now for some reason I couldn't install windows because it kept crashing and bluescreen during instal, so I tried Linux instead and it would get stuck when starting live build.

So I put the m.2 drive in my pc and installed Windows like that.

Now, I can use Windows for a while without issues and then from time to time i get ramdom freezes without any sound, and then it jumps into the lock screen.

Or some other times it bluescreens were half the display is blue and the bottom half is a mess (tearing side to side, frozen).

Also the pc seems really warm to the touch, even on the glass window, even tho the bios says it's 55°c.

When first trying to install I had the CPU and ram red lights on motherboard. But now they aren't there, I guess it was just recognising components.

If anyone ever experienced this or has any ideas il take it gladly

Thanks a lot 🙏

Latest motherboard Bios?

Which Windows and version were you trying to install?

Sounds similar to my current issue.

If you have Expo enabled, disable it.

See if the PC is stable after.

I have Samsung Chips in my Corsair DDR5, which apparently are known to have issues with EXPO which, BIOS updates are trying to address.

I had BSOD's after being stable, only to be fixed by going back to stock timings.

Thanks, il try that tonight, maybe lowering CPU voltage to. Hopefully will have good results 🤞

Make sure you installed the latest bios on your mobo, Ryzen is notorious for hating ram kits with higher speeds than 3000mhz. Also try turning off the XMP profile and run stock speed and try again.

Yea tried without xmp already, but it's still at 4800mhz. And still crashing. Il see for the expo thing tonight. Maybe lower CPU voltage too and see what happens.

Update : I tried both AIDA64 tests and BurnInTest. Nothing crashed in aida, nor ram or cpu tests. But in Burnintest, i noticed the ryzen go up to 84°c whislt on my personal rig it barely passed 60°C. Then  on the gpu test, it said "verification failure of gpu buffer content". If anyone got any clue. For some reason now that we limited the ram to 3200mhz and disabled xmp we dont seem to crash on windows anymore, but games do crash to desktop on loading screens or just after "Elden ring", tried nebulus to but it doesnt even start anymore. Latest crash was during easy anti cheat initialisation for elden ring

Run off a single stick of RAM.

If it crashs - chipset/gpu driver install/reinstall.

Check your power connections to the MOBO (You have the single 8 pin plugged in for CPU power all the way) and your GPU power leads are FIRM and the pins inside are not pushed BACK inside the connectors.

Il recheck all the plugs again, maybe it's on PSU side instead of components side. I'm already running on 1 of 2 ram sticks, interchanged them and didn't really help. Maybe a tad more stable

I managed to pretty much settled the issue down to graphics card. The pc seems to work fine and doesn't crash when it's removed. Now I still need to find out how.

From the dump files it looks more like RAM and there is some strange reporting. It's just listing one RAM stick so it might be from when you did tests with just one stick, but the speed is at 3200MT/s. It feels like something weird is happening with the RAM, which doesn't have to mean that it's the actual RAM sticks. It could be the CPU or motherboard.

Oops, that's from previous answers, I tried some of the suggestions and never put it back, it's normal for the 1 stick and 3200, il put it back to normal tonight

For the GPU, disable Ultra Low Power Mode for AMD. (google the how, its 2 reg keys to edit)

Set your windows power profile to high performance.
Make sure you're using the correct power for the GPU. Make sure the connectors are good.

Those GPUS are hungry. Maybe re-seat?

In the BIOS force PCIE3 or 4 to prevent switching.
