Laptop overheating when idle

My laptop started overheating when I restarted it and there are a lot of problems with it other than with overheating like it not downloading and installing windows updates that are very crucial and don't know how to fix and the hdd having a problem or something like that but know I am wondering whether I should be worried that the laptop is over 70 degrees Celsius I need help it my only computer and don't have money to buy a new one. And also when I tried to factory reset something failed and it didn't reset. Help meeeeeee
