Hi, i want to build Mesh, but I don't know whitch AP I should use. There is a problem a need strong one, because it needs to have strong enough signal to go to the garage made of metal/foam seats. I picked Tp-link EAP110 that would be strong enough, but now I'm reading something about omada controller. My main router is Archer ax73 and switch netacad GSM7248.

In order to be compliant with local and international standards, wireless antennae cannot exceed a certain power output. If they do, not only is it illegal, but you now run the risk of causing more WiFi interference with neighbouring broadcasts and introducing more noise into the signal.

What manufacturers have tried to do to get around this is implement different optimization technologies and alter the broadcast pattern in an effort to manipulate how the signal is distributed. Unfortunately, all WiFi signals are blocked by metal, worse so if trying to penetrate a metal box!

The smarter thing to do, in your situation, would be to run ethernet into the garage then mount an AP there.

Well, if you know anything about TP-Link's dedicated APs, then you also need to be aware of Omada. You can use a dedicated Controller or you can run the AP in standalone mode. Please read the documentation (page 9).

Oh, you also need PoE to power and offer ethernet uplink for the EAP.
