I am pretty sure I am going to buy a 6700XT. Question is, anybody know if the temps are high with a double fan as opposed to a triple fan? Is it really needed? Do you think I would be fine with a undervolt? Or should I just buy the triple fan to be safe.

Depends on a ton of factors, including silicone lottery.

I can a reference card and temps were fine.

I love how the thing under your name says "buy AMD" but your main rig you have listed in your signature has an intel CPU and GPU  

 

Anyways, back to the question: I think a 2-fan 6700xt will be fine. As long as you don't overclock it or put it in a case with only 1 fan, it shouldn't overheat at all. 

 

Also, remember that the 6650 XT is a bit cheaper and has similar performance, it's a great budget option, however, the 6700xt is better if you aren't on a strict budget.

 You don't really need 3 fans for the 6700XT. A lot of cards these days are often equipped with over-built coolers, to try and make their cards look more premium and cooler (pun intended).

Its fairly decent. I would recommend it if you were a mid-range gamer and don't play games higher than 1440p.

that sounds like me, i play rocket league, minecraft, and fortnite at 1440p

Card is 220W so 2 fans should be ok on a "cool" rig

3 fans can cost $50 more, not really worth it

What's your average frame rate when you play RL, MC and FN. Monitor refresh rate?

I don’t know what my average fps is, but in MC I probably get around 60fps?? Rocket league and Fortnite both get around 30fps, with RL getting a bit more fps. That’s just a guess and I don’t have software I use to monitor frame rate. My monitor is overclocked to 170hz and it’s 1440p.

And you are running off of integrated graphics? wow. you must be running the bare minimum.

So you’re saying that I’m getting good frame rates for an iGPU or that i should be getting better frame rates with my UHD 770 graphics?

I am saying that you are getting good frame rates for a iGPU and i am surprised because if you are getting frames that high you probably aren't on the best-looking settings for graphics for example, you aren't running anti-aliasing or ray tracing. or shaders or other mods in mc.

Correct, just low settings at 1440p or 1080p.

I was just able to get 120fps at 170hz 1440p in Minecraft 1.18.2!!!

Shaders barely run on nice graphics cards, so it would be hilarious on integrated graphics!!
