I use fraps to record and when I wanted to upload my video it said over 2000 minutes remaining! Why?! Is it my upload speed or just their servers! How to get it to take shorter time!

 

What is your upload speed

 

what size is the file

19 Gigs! For a 11 min video!

Yeah that is a massive file

 

Re-encode your video in handbrake or something, you can get it down to just a few gb

 

I have 125mb fibre optic but I only get 10 upload :/ so i have to get my videos down smaller

Lol yeah, never upload a raw FRAPS file to YouTube.

 

This is my formula for a small file size:

 

-MP4 file format (h.264 encoding)

 

-720p 16:9 aspect ratio

 

-24 FPS

 

P.S. This is on 0.80Mbps upload and it only takes 10-20 mins for a five min video

What program to compress it? WinRar Compress? 

 

No use something like handbrake and convert it, you can probably get it under 2gb, or maybe even smaller

Convert it to what type of file? Avi or Mp4 etc.

Probably just an MP4, I dont have the program infront of me right now (as I am at work) cant remember the settings I use

 

though I havnt uploaded a video for a while

You should probably read a few guides to get some broader knowledge on video conversion.

 

 

There are MANY guides on how to convert video, guides on the "simple" and "heavyweight" programs to do so and guides on what settings "as a guideline" to use for each resolution, which you can tweak to your hearts content.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
