I have never done this before, so I have a couple of questions. 1) when you clone a drive (I am going from a hard drive to a SSD) does the original disk keep all of its data, or is it all transferred to the destination disk?  2) like many people, I want to keep using the original hard drive to hold files where speed is not so important (like downloaded files, photographs, service manuals, etc.). 3) IF all the original (from the hard disk) stays on the original drive, can I delete or remove windows from that drive, because that id quite large, and I would really like to use that space for other things. 4)is there a free cloning software download that is easy for a newbie to do with minimal risk of messing things up and loosing all of the information that I have accumulated over the past 3 years? and where can I find that file to download? Thanks in advance.

1) Yes.

2) You can.

3) Yes you can, in fact I would recommend removing all data and wiping all partitions on that drive before reusing it.

4) Macrium reflect gets recommended quite often here but I only use Clonezilla.
