Help (Fraps audacity)

Ok so i record video with fraps and audio with audacity, I sinc it up perfectly at the beggining of the video but over time it becomes more and more out of sinc

 

Has anyone had this issue and how did you fix it thanks

Strange. I never had this issue  :huh: I'll look into it

Sometimes this has to do with recording with a variable framerate, then when you put it on a 30fps timeline the video gets stretched and squashed a tiny bit resulting in the video being made slightly longer or shorter in certain areas

 

Perhaps try and re-encode or convert the video?

 

I am really not sure how to fix it though

Is audacity needed? I thought the built in sound recorder in FRAPS is just fine especially with a quality mic.

Most likely fraps problem, make sure there is no lag and also your write drive can write at atleast 120mb/s

yup no lagg and a write speed of 154mb/s

MMM...how much out of sync. Try record with default then with Audacity and see if theres still lag. Reason I think it's fraps is I have used it to sync up music and vid before and it works.  Maybe it cuts the audio by a second somewhere. See if you can pinpoint where it goes out. It seems weird.

Here is a tip, have a webcam, clap and then sync up the audio and the webcam.
