New Interface With BIOS Update

I just updated the BIOS to my PC and noticed that there is a new interface in the BIOS.  The new interface is now closer to an older style interface as opposed to the more graphical one I had before.  Is this ok and/or normal?

What motherboard are you using and what BIOS ref did you upgrade from and to?

I would say that is unusual, but if that meant fixing bugs then fine.

 

Are you sure you aren't talking about the boot screen?  The update might have the boot splash disabled by default, you should be able to turn that back on.

So.., I read through the descriptions of previous BIOS updates and one of them mentions and shows the change of interface.  It did mention a fix for an issue.  I have an MSI B40m Pro-VDH motherboard.  Everything seems to be working well, thanks for your quick responses.
