Quadro RTX 4000 is a card.  At least a couple years old now.

if you refer to the above just grab the best deal you can if you were referring to the 40 series my advice is wait a little longer if you can.....right now there seems to be a price war and even the 3rd party GPU makers are dropping their prices.

September is not far away and between now and then you might save a considerable amount depending upon what tier of GPU you purchase.

Are Quadros ever on seasonal sale?  Seems doubtful.

As mentioned before we can't tell you without knowing what you're buying it for. But, if you have the time to wait I think it will be better overall since there is an overstock of these cards everywhere and older GPUs are still really competitive with them. So prices will almost certainly go down as long as there is stock for the older GPUs.

^^^

40 series cards are currently pretty terrible value with the exception of the 4090, only reason to buy is for power efficiency but ppl tend to forget undervolting exists

not to mention 2/3 of em are vramless and will not age very well, i mean why a 4070(ti) when you can buy a used 6900xt or 3090? Both will have more vram and age better since upcoming games are expected to start requiring lots of vram

If you need something now, buy something now. If you can wait, wait. But what do you hope to get from waiting? Significant price adjustments may or may not happen.

Biggest reason is because they're used. New will hardly ever compete with used if you're looking for ultimate value. If you're ok with those risks, go for it. 4070 to me is in a sweet spot for upper-mid range, as it is basically a 3080 but better overall and cheaper (new vs new). For the lower-mid range 4060 looks good to me, unless you want to trade off some perf for vram with a 3060.

Upcoming games may be able to scale up to use more vram, but they wont require it without excluding a large part of the potential PC gaming market.

AMD is a better value right now unless you need something as powerful 4090?

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

I was referring to the 4000 series in general. I havent reached to a conclusion on which one of the 4070, 4070ti or 4080 is the one to go for!
Its going to be used for 3D rendering and Gaming( in which RT for me is a must, so i need dlss3)

My question was preety general.

That's exactly what i had in my mind + a possible new 'ti' release that might affect the pricings as well. I just dont wanna upgrade right now and see huge drops after only 2 months.

AMD is not even a consideration! The lack of DLSS 3 if a huge factor for me. The same goes with the 30 series cards.

As for the 4090, im really not willing to go that far, budget wise.

Problem with the question is that we can't tell you which specific card is best for your purpose if a budget, usecase,... isn't provided.
