MemTest86 not consistent ?

So I've been running MemTest86 a lot lately and I noticed inconsistencies,

The first ones I noticed were those L3 Cache and Memory speed reports.

Then I noticed a full successfull Memtest lasted sometimes less than 4h and sometimes more than 5h.

You can see here for example, one time 54% of test 5 in 3mn25s, the next time 56% of test 5 in 5mn8s

I'm pretty sure those 2 tests were done using the same settings  (which seem stable so far)

Any ideas ?

idk whats causing ur issues tho, maybe ram thats freaking out so the software does the same thing

Ok, makes sense, but the system seems stable so far. I've run Cinebench/3DMark/CPU-Z Bench/Sandra/Cyberpunk Bench/Passmark Perf MemTest without problems

I'll run a full Memtest86 later

yea maybe just faulty install of memtest then, could alwyas be

Yes, thought so too, doubt it, with the USB boot, but I can try it

I also thought about varying cpu frequency.

Could it be that Memtest catches the system in a slightly different state and stays with it...

and maybe XMP reset wich could explain the freq and timings
