Put two 140s in the top as intake. Three 120s at the front as intake and 1 at the back as exhaust

im buildngng a pc and im debating fan layout so i have 2 140 mm and 4 120mm noctoahs the 120s are airflow optmised the 140s are desined for mixed airflow and preusre so should i do 3 front intake 120 2 140 exsasuts in the top then 120 mm exsaust in the back or is there a better config

Id just go for the usual 3 fans at the front and 1 rear fan, dont really need any more fans than that

Wont make a diff in performance

Itll problably worsen if you put 2 top fans and set them as exhaust cause then the air is gonna exit before it hits the cpu cooler

I assume this is aircooled?

Btw what cooler?

Better to have positive air pressure than negative (most of the time)

I would really consider the h5 flow with its more optimised angled gpu fan. Or the pop air as their both good options

Wait you havent even bought the parts yet?

In that case ditch the ancient ass d15 and go for a peerless assassin 120 or ak620 which will both look better and be alot cheaper

Theres probs some other stuff you can improve but ill just give some rough guidelines

2500$+ = 4090

2000$ = 7900xtx/4080

1500$ = 6900/6950xt or used 3090

1000$ = 6700xt or used 6800(xt)

So a 1500$ ish build?

Peerless assassin/phantom spirit 120 and ak620 perform similarly to the d15 while being smaller, cheaper, and better looking. If ram height is a concern theres the fuma 2 rev b

Seriously the d15 is a terrible buy nowadays till the gen2 drops, its massive and overpriced
