Hopefully this is the right subforum, let me know if it belongs better in troubleshooting or something?

My mouse cord (Razer Basilisk V3) got destroyed recently so I tried to replace it with the cord from an old mouse in my closet, but I realized the header to connect to the mouse PCB is different on both mice (picture attached - the small one on the left is the one I am trying to replace). I tried ordering a replacement cord off Ebay, but it had the same internal connector as my spare mouse. Are there different standards for these kind of connectors, or is Razer just doing something proprietary for this? Can anyone tell me what these are called or point me to where I can buy them? Every time I've tried searching the internet for this info it thinks I'm trying to find the difference between USB A and USB C

There are no standards for this type of connector. Manufacturers can use whatever they like (or even solder the wires straight to the board).

Personally I'd just splice the wires to the old connector, flip 'er over and go for seconds.

I'm a used parts bottom feeder.  Your loss is my gain.

Gotcha, that actually helps to know. I'll just have to find a replacement cord for this exact model. Unfortunately theres a bluetooth version with a detachable type c cable that keep clogging up my search results, but I might also just contact Razer to see if they can provide any help or if they sell replacement parts. Thank you!

Except they do? They mostly uses Micro JST 5 pin nowadays, the height do differ from one manufacturer to another. The issue on it is the fact that noone want to use 1 pinout.
