I've ready many threads and they either have different solutions that didn't work for me, or haven't been solved.

I've built several computers and am decently knowledgeable in many things, but the BIOS isn't one I haven't messed around with too much. I updated the BIOS (M-Flash) following the manufactures recommended instructions. After restarting upon completion of the update, it loaded the splash screen with "Diagnosing your PC" following by "Attempting repairs". The repairs failed multiple times. I can boot into the BIOS, but not into Windows. I noticed my boot drive was different than it had been (previous drive as I migrated from that drive to a new one quite some time ago and haven't had any issues until now). I wasn't able, or didn't know how, to select the specific drive over the other one. One recommendation I followed was to reset the CMOS. After doing that, the correct boot drive was showing, but then a different error of “the operating system couldn't be loaded because the digital signature of a file or one of its dependencies couldn't be verified” appeared. That's where I'm stuck. I was able to successfully boot after disabling that check in the startup options. To my understanding, that's a troubleshooting step that will revert back to enabled when I restart. Any help would be appreciated.

Summary:

-Updated BIOS following manufacturers instructions (Confirmed BIOS update was correct version)

-It restarted after completion and displayed "Diagnosing your PC" and "Attempting Repairs" upon startup.

-Failed to repair

-Boot drive was different that before BIOS update (seems to have defaulted to original boot drive)

-Reset CMOS

-Correct boot drive appeared

-New error “the operating system couldn't be loaded because the digital signature of a file or one of its dependencies couldn't be verified”

-Troubleshooting step of disabling the digital signatures check allows me to boot to Windows but should revert back to enabled once restarted

System Specs:

MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 (BIOS Version 7D25v1C from 5/19/23)

EVGA 2080Ti

64GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB OC'd to 3600Mhz

12700k No OC

Windows 11, version 22H2 with all Quality and Security updates installed

How did you Disable Driver Signature?

There are more then one way to disable this. Try one of the other methods, if you have done one of these  already

As for the Boot order, Boot into Setup (Bios) and go to the Boot Tab, and move any other disk, other than the Disk with C: on it, to the bottom of the boot order or remove it all together. This will not stop you from accessing this drive in Windows, the Bios just won't boot from it.

Thank you for your response! I disabled it through Windows RE since that was the only way I could do anything at that time.

I'll give those others a try here soon. I notice it mentions Fortect, I've seen this one multiple times now in my troubleshooting journey. Is this worthwhile?

We do not suggest any 3rd party "optimizer" apps. These usually cause more problems then they solve.

Windows has all the tools you need to troubleshoot most problems in the OS.
