Creating watercooled build of used parts

Hello everyone!

I have a challenge I am facing myself. I want to watercool a build for not more than 500€ including a CPU yet to buy.
I hope for your advice and creativity!

This shall become a build for my little brother till late August!
The whole build should be considering german prices (€).

I have the following left over parts from earlier projects that I can use for starters. Maybe next x-mas there will be an update here an there.

CPU: Here I need something new for him, all I could give him is a ryzen 3 1200, not the best for gaming?
CPU Cooler: https://phanteks.com/PH-C350a.html

Motherboard: AsRock X370 Taichi
RAM: 2x8 GB G.Skill Trident Z Silver 3200 CL16
Storage: 1TB M.2 Samsung 970 EVO

GPU: Galax/Kfa² 1080 Hall of Fame with Bykski https://ezmodding.com/en/waterblocks/GPU/Galax/N-GY1080HOF-X but the nickel version

PSU: Phanteks AMP 1000W

Further parts:
D5 Pump
Aqualis Reservoir https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2916 + Pump holder https://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2925

10 fittings https://bykski.de/de/fittings/flex/B-FT3-TK-V2-WH

some 10/16mm ZMT Tube from EK WB
Phanteks Primo White

I would keep the front and back 140mm inside the phanteks primo but would think about a 480mm top mounted radiator?

Would go for a white/nickel build here

Anyone up for helping in the challenge to make a great combination? Even advice for looking out for used parts I am also totally fine.
I myself reused watercooling parts as long as I used clear water/concentrate and would do it again.

Thanks for any advice or help in this challenge even about best water flow options etc. in this build, you always learn something new.
I would ofc again like to add in a drain valve, a flow sensor and a temperature sensor.

Id argue to use that 500 euro for building an actual proper air cooled setup or an AIO one if you wanna call it "watercooling" like a hooky salesman. While watercooling equipment is a bit harder to sell on the used market, if that reservoir, pump, and water block looks good, it could fetch some dollar. Check ebay pricing on it and undercut if youre looking to rapidly sell. Keep everything else later on as tubes and fittings are even less desirable because new ones are just better for reliability.

Case, board, RAM, storage, and PSU we can keep.

sorryclaire is right. its an older system and other then looks and a bit of sound water cooling dose not add much considering you can buy something new thats faster and most likely quiet anyway.

Hey and thanks for the update.

maybe some clarification while I totally get your point!

What is the reason behind the build? Simple my brother looks at my PC and wants something watercooled to.
It is mainly for the purpoes of giving him that PC while mostly using my old parts to save some bucks.
500 was like a challenge I set out to myself, but if it is a bit more I don't mind it. I thought the list of used parts + 500€ would be a challenge but possible with some creative ideas. The parts listed are all totally fine and can be used again.

It ain't about performance or anything, it is just about him having a watercooled PC with decent performance.
I can run my 5700x + 6700 xt build just fine for performance 😉

If he needs a performance upgrade later it would be totally fine.

The main goal is just to fullfill him his wish of a watercooled pc for august :)
