Secretlabs PC desk with PC Mount

Qrz

I recently bought the Secretlabs' standing/sittign desk along with the "Premium PC Mount". Has anyone else have more experience with this? The documentation and Secrelabs' support both stat that when using the PC mount, the "recommended minimum height" for the desk is 78cm. Maybe its just me, but when sitting 78cm for the desk is too high for comfort. Lowering it to 70 is way more comfortable.  I've  contacted support to ask if there is any mechanical issues with using the desk at a lower than recommended height, but they just keep repeating "we recommend using the desk at a minimum of 78cm if you are using the mount" blah blah blah. They said it was to avoid collision of the mount and the floor. I tried lowering it to 70cm, and there is still quite a bit of room between the mount and the floor, so im confused about the minimum height.

Has anyone used the desk with the mount at a lower height and it like caused the motor of the desk to go bad? Is it safe to use it at lower than the 78cm, or is that just like a corporate wording to save their butts from lawsuits.

Thanks for reading.

Maybe it's a ventilation thing?

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not a problem until it's a problem.

Thanks lol, I just don't want to like void the warranty on the desk bc I used the desk lower than the "recommended minimum height".

Seems like it. The PC mount can go smaller or larger from what I'm seeing, and they don't know what size case you're using or how far the feet stick out, so their minimum recommended height is likely set to try and avoid people clamping their desk down on their foot because they had a weird case, and getting mad at SecretLabs.
