I’m building my first computer, and I desperately need guidance

Budget (including currency): $500-$800

Country: United States of America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender, Fire Alpaca, Veadotube mini, misc. gaming, streaming, and editing applications

Other details Ok, so, this build will be my first ever desktop computer, and I have been unfortunately cursed with old boomer brain when it comes to tech things. I would like for this computer to have a decent amount of storage (enough to support a career in art commissions) and have as good of graphics as I can get on my budget. 1080p resolution preferably. Monitor, keyboard, and mouse are going to be handled outside of the budget, so I don’t need help with those. What parts should I get? Please use terms like you’re speaking to a toddler, I’m not very smart with technology.

Need more detail like what kind of monitor you have, and your desired FPS (typical 60/120/144)

Also do you care about RGB?

Are you comfortable buying Used?

Well you would like to get some used parts because its quite hard to get any good new parts in this budget.

I know this is over budget but your budget is very very small. I reccomend coming back with a higher budget later. if you do want ot build know you could look for a used 6700xt or 3070 to make the price lower.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).
I'm learning video editing and trying to get some cash as a high school student.
I like F1, my favourite team is Scuderia Ferrari and favourite driver is Charles Leclerc. Favourite track is Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Playing with a 1080p 60hz monitor right now, hoping to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz one soon.

Living in AU and that pisses me off since every event is late at night or early in the morning (almost every F1 race starts around 11 PM AEST time)

5500 + 6800xt + 32gb 3200c16

Used gpu so make sure you can return incase faulty (very unlikely anyways)

Case wise all choices <60$ are abysmal so better off just buying used, 30$ should be able to get a somewhat decent case with airflow but if you dont find any a 5-10$ or outright dumpster dived office case will also do just fine as long as you run no sidepanel

The psu should be enough since the card will only draw around 350w and cpu maybe around 130w if you run pbo or a 4.7-4.8ghz allcore oc. But if youd like a better psu your only option is to go used, 40-60$ should easily get you 700-850w gold units used, just make sure to not buy a psu thats over 7 years old, prefferably something under 5 years old, they only last 10-15 years anyways (though most seem to go past 10 years just fine)

Variance on @Somerandomtechyboi build, Just apply PBO2 and youll be close in terms of CPU performance indeed.
