i feel culprit is my old mobo now

Whats your PSU? RAM?  Temperatures ok?   You could try to update the motherboards BIOS.

PSU Seasonic S12III-500, ram 16gb (KLEVV BOLT X DDR4), temp Ok, bios already latest.

You said it shutdown during a stress test. Just to clarify, has it powered back on after that? Any stability issues outside the stress test?

Personally I'd be suspecting the PSU in that case, but I'm seeing some things elsewhere about the bios that adds ryzen 5000 compatibility to that board being a bit trash.

Just for extra detail, what GPU do you have in there? This is a long shot, but I wonder if the power draw is maybe just a bit much for a 500W.

As far as I know, OCCT runs multiple tests on your computer. During which one does your computer shuts down ?

It would help zero in the faulty component.

Have a nice day

Then you probably have a CPU related issue.

1. Try reseating your CPU and check if your thermal paste and cooler are correctly installed.

2. Check your overclock settings in the BIOS. If the CPU is undervolted or if the turbo frequency is set too high, this could cause a hard crash. Try using default settings.

3. If all seems to be correct, you should try your CPU into another motherboard and/or try another CPU into your motherboard. If you don't have a spare computer or spare CPU on hand, you probably could visit a repair shop and got that tested for an affordable fee (or free).

Have a nice day !
