Randomly one day I left my PC on overnight, and it crashed. When I restarted it it refused to boot, and I ram the windows startup repair. Massive mistake. This caused  a red screen error which says blah blah secure boot. Upon googling the  error I disabled secure boot. Now, it loads and loads and after it gives me the option to open the bios is blackscreens. I have tried almost everything, and stuff beyond this list but here is a list of what I have tried.

fresh install windows

install on HDD

swapping ram around

install on new ssd

install and erase on old ssd

erasing all drives and installing

booting to a compact OS (worked once then stopped)

replacing motherboard (didn’t change anything)

and that’s it besides playi n with every possible bios setting

one thing to note on my first install of the new motherboard I pressed Y to clear ftpm as pressing N just made it black.

any help is appreciated

We have another user with similar issues. Is you RAM on the mobo QVL? Have you tested it with MemTest86?

Is the BIOS setting back to stock?

Thanks for the quick response!

The ram came with the CPU in a package deal CPU is QVL, and Ram is apparently NOT, but it’s had its own problems. I had to return one of the sticks before, but both passed Memtest 86 before this happened. Both individual, and together. Bios setting was not returned back to stock. Unclear if they sent me a new one as they were supposed to or just repackaged my old one as there are slight scuffs and bios is at its latest update. Would you mind linking me his thread so I can see if any of his suggested fixes help the issue.

I did also realize that in my Bios, my rams set timing is different than that of the Ram stick.

could this have any effect on it?

It's possible. When troubleshooting computer issues, it's always wise to revert everything in the BIOS back to default/stock, and go from there.

I’ve reset CMOS like 90 times at this point bro, I think I’m just going to go for the full, hard slowly change out the parts till something works. I ordered new ram that is very reliable and in the QVC and if that doesn’t work I’ll just activate the warranty on my cpu. Pain
