Hello everyone, I am about to purchase the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm and the Schiit Fulla E DAC/AMP. Now I would like to see what are good Microphone recommendations for the Fulla to complete this setup. Thanks in advance!

Oh man, you are going to enjoy those DT770's! 😄  I miss mine, had them for over 20 years and then I spilled a banana smoothie on them =/ Might actually have to buy a new pair. ( sorry for not giving a mic recommendation )

Oh man, good tip! I’ll try to avoid banana smoothies near them! What are you driving now?

No headphones for music at the moment sadly, just a generic Logitech G533 gaming headset.  I do have 2x PSB Imagine X2T and a Yamaha A-S701 and an old HEGEL HD2 DAC.  And yes, banana smoothies does not belong near audio equipment!

Don't really know what your budget or preferences.

Personally, I use Maono PM422. I bought it when invested in good quality audio setup with Audio Technica ATH-R70X and Fiio K5 Pro.

It's a solid USB condenser mic for 100 euros. Come with a good desk arm and pop/wind filters. Totally overkill for online gaming, and really high quality if you want to record voiceovers.

That one looks good, it’s $80 USD so that’s not too bad, thought it’s USB so I wouldn’t be able to use it with the Fulla, it would have to go straight to the PC.

I was looking into the Mod Mic, how bad does the base stick to the headphones? My fear is that if I need to take it off, it’ll mess up my Headphones.

You're being pretty loose with the word "mess up" - the DT770 Pro have a metal chassis lol.

But yeah, I've adhered mine to pleather headphones before and they've come off cleanly. 100% it'll be the same for metal headphones. If any bits are leftover, use good ol' rubbing and natural finger oils..

Yeah that’s what I meant, if it would ruin leave smudges or stains on the headphones if I try to remove it. Thank you!

For years I used the mod mic on many different headphones with no issues at all.  If anything I didn't apply it properly and the base would come off.  You can purchase packs of the bases on amazon for cheap.  So almost all of my headphones have the base even though I don't use it anymore it's a fast easy way to tell left from right without looking.

Audio go Brrrrrr
