Hey guys, im stumped. So yesterday while playing games i started getting a driver timeout error, followed by a black screen, then game minimizes and re opens. happens kinda all over the place. Sometimes every few minutes in game to every couple seconds. Seems to get worse with multiple things open ie a game and discord say. On the latest AMD Drivers, windows is up to date. tried rolling back driver and that didnt help, tried switching to my GPUs second bios didnt Help. Also getting weird things while games are running like red squares where grass should be random artifacts flickering. while loading D4 had a giant red then blue blob appear and flicker out. Anyone got any ideas?

*update*

Tried DDU it did not help. Both with new driver and old driver

Have you tried using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely rid your device of AMD GPU drivers, then freshly resinstalling them?
Neither Windows, nor NVIDIA/AMD does a great job at that by default.

JayzTwoCents has a great video on it:

Welcome to being an AMD user, and yes, try DDU, also if that don't help try DDU + installing an older driver as that might be less wonky.

PS: do you have relive installed or are using the GPU to record or stream otherwise?  Because that was exactly what made all my recent AMD cards crash / driver timeout... without recording feature it seemed much better.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Haven't tried DDU yet just AMDs own cleanup utility. I'll give that a shot and see if it helps
