Request for Sonnet RX 6800 XT Tear-Down Guide

This model is not very popular and there is not much discussion about it online. It is made for eGPU enclosures and Mac computers, so it’s not common in the desktop community.

 

If anyone here owns this card and is experienced, could you please post a tear-down guide? I’d like to be able to clean and repaste this card after its warranty runs out.

 

I also read somewhere that this card uses the reference pcb. Does this mean I could just follow the reference model tear-downs?

Never heard of the brand till now and doesn't seem to be popular so it will be hard to find a tear down somewhere.

 

While the PCB is the same size it doesn't necessarily mean the cooler is built the same so no guarantees the tear down will be the same but looking at the design it doesn't look too different from the reference cooler either.

 

Taking it apart wouldn't be an issue making sure it goes back together the correct way could be. You could always record the tear down and work backwards with the video footage.
