GPU Choice

Hello! 

I'm looking to build a new PC and I am having trouble figuring out what graphics card to get. I am currently looking at a 4070 but I've seen that some AMD GPU's will out do it. I am building this in Canada so the GPU Prices are around 800$ and I would like to stay around there. I plan to build it with a Ryzen 7 5800X. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Edit: I feel like its important to say I plan to play games on 1440p, sorry about forgetting that.

You already got the CPU and everything else? Then yeah id just go for 6900XT or 6950XT if possible. But yeah, stock is dwindling, 4070 would be fine if you cant find it because of out-of-stock.
