Oh ok your not gaming then. I would get this build then

PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/WKdTXy

Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive  (£43.20 @ Amazon UK)

Budget (including currency): £500 (max) ideally £350

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CCTV playback of 8 4k streams across two 4k displays

After much research I am down to these components from Amazon

AMD Ryzen 5 4600G - £89 (as I need integrated graphics to avoid buying a graphics card)
Gigabyte A520M DS3H - £78.48 (as I need two digital video outputs)
Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) - £35.99
Crucial P3 Plus 1TB - £43.20
Evga 600 W1 - £45.83 - (which I will need to modify due to the 2u case)
Thermalright AXP90 X47 - £21.90 (as it is going in a 2u case)

Any opinions welcome, I have not build a PC in 20 years!

Thanks

Hey fellow Brit! Hot weather we're having eh?

I would really consider buying some parts used,

For example get this combination of parts

2600x + b450m + boxed cooler - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314635457097

P3 1TB - Crucial P3 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (CT1000P3SSD8) - PCPartPicker

2 x 16 3200mhz - ADATA XPG GAMMIX D45 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (AX4U32008G16A-DCBKD45) - PCPartPicker

PSU 600W 80+ Gold - EVGA 600 GD 600 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply (100-GD-0600-V1) - PCPartPicker

mATX case - Montech AIR 100 LITE MicroATX Mid Tower Case (AIR 100 LITE White) - PCPartPicker

6600 xt - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175768469984

Adds up to £400 and will get much better gpu performance with a better mobo too and slightly worse cpu (but still enough for a 6600 xt)

Indeed it is hot!

I am set on new, and from Amazon so I get one delivery and no bidding!
