Youtube crisp when paused but blurry when playing

Lately I've been noticing that on my PC(win 11 up to date) video's on YouTube are very blurry when playing. I have a 2k monitor and a good PC. Internet speeds is 1gbit down and 500mbit up and video always buffers very fast. I've attached 2 images. One where the text is very clear and easy to read(when paused) and one where this isn't the case(video is playing).

 

 

Does anyone know why this is happening? Watching videos sucks very much right now. Tried on both chrome and edge, same problem occurs.

Other streaming services are not affected. And its with every youtube video, not just some.

Did you pick the quality or did you leave it at "auto"?
I've noticed that sometimes I'd have it display auto(1440p) in bottom right corner when in reality it is something like 720p, picking the resolution manually fixes it for me.

Both auto and when i pick the resolution myself don't change anything.
