Hmm ok, thanks I'll try to repaste refit cooler I hope It will work, maybe too much paste was added.
I had problems with ram so i had to refit CPU cooler multiple times to access ram.

are you using PBO2 Tuner? NH-D15 Without it yeah its gonna get quite toasty. I suggest getting PB02 Tuner, doing -25 all cores, 120W PPT, 80A TDC, 110 EDC on page 2.

What fan speed are you running the fans at?

So I have Ryzen 7 5800x3D with Noctua NH-D15 on B550 Tomahawk motherboard and it runs in games under 80°c, even 90°c+ at 100% usage in Need For Speed Heat (no wonder why it's called NFS Heat lol).

Should I let It sit around those temps or should I upgrade to High-End water cooling, If so any ideas what should look for?
Idle temps are around 35-45°c

Paste on CPU is enough and I have tried to reseat cooler multiple times.

On i7 8700k at 5GHz It was cooling just fine (in games, not benchmarks).

Repaste and refit cooler, double check fan speeds. That said, the 5800X3D is supposed to run a bit hotter than the 5800X despite drawing less power due to the 3D cache design. For both CPUs, AMD said they are safe up to 90C. These CPUs are smart, if you hit 90C they will try their absolute best to still maintain their turbo speed without activating the throttle button.

Those temps are generally observed under benchmarking though, NFS Heat is not a CPU-intensive game generally but who knows...

are you using PBO2 Tuner? NH-D15 Without it yeah its gonna get quite toasty. I suggest getting PB02 Tuner, doing -25 all cores, 120W PPT, 80A TDC, 110 EDC on page 2.

What fan speed are you running the fans at?

umm I'm only using curve of speed in BIOS 80°c at max speed, I'll look up PBO2 Tuner.

And I think I fixed my problem atleast for now, I opened window and temp droped from 91°c to 80°c x)

Was it a repaste that fixed it?

nop I opened window and in 20~min it droped like 8-10 degres, tho It won't work in hot days, now It's pretty chilly outside, 80°c now.
I don't have paste at the moment to repaste but in a week I will try It!

Got from 85°c 130W to 73°c - 75°c 120W under benchmark load so for gaming It will be even more better.
Thanks, I will leave your comment as answer but later this week I will try repaste as well!

Dont need to repaste, those are pretty much my thermals as well. Those are the to be expected gains! 10-12C a nice gain 🙂
