New cpu cooler

Okay guys so my h100i is probably dead and im gonna rma it if i can. If i cant rma/ get a new one from corsair any thoughts on what i should get should get for my cpu. i like my h100i it gave me a few problems but its been good for the 1and1/2 years i have had it, but i would like to try something new. I was looking into noctua like this http://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-U12-Sockets-Heatpipe-Cooling/dp/B00C9EYVGY/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1399864545&sr=1-5&keywords=noctua but im gonna be honest im on amd and backplates are a hassle with my case (Haf XB) so any thing that wont require much more mounting hardware than an h100i would be nice i was looking into the glacer 240l also but i have heard complaints about pump noise. also i am not sticking with stock this stock cooler has only been on there 30 minutes and that fan noise is already killing me

 So in short any recommendations air or water is fine silence is key but i dont want a huge air cooler like the nhd14 or the silver arrow extreme

The hyper 212 evo should work, and so should that noctua one.
The glacer 240l is apparently the best water cooler out there, and if I remember correctly the pump speed is very fast by default but adjustable.

is the hyper 212 actually quiet like as quiet as a noctua or a be quiet i have never used it but everyone seems to love it

The 212 isn't as quiet as noctua or be quiet. It is quieter than a h100i though so you'll notice a difference, I would say go for the NH-U14s as it performs very similarly to the h100i but at half the volume.

U12S will be drop in cooling performance compared but U14S will be at same level.
