Budget (including currency): range is around $1500-$1800

Country: Unites States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex Legends, Ark Survival Evolved, Brawlhalla, and Fortnite

Other details: My cousin is planning their first custom gaming PC build, and we have a budget range of around $1500-$1800. We've picked out a few parts already on PCPartPicker and would appreciate some feedback to ensure this will be a decent build. The goal is to play games such as Apex Legends, Ark Survival Evolved, Brawlhalla, and Fortnite at a high performance level. For the monitor, we're looking for the best resolution for gaming, preferably a curved screen. The build will run on the Windows OS. Please note, this isn't an upgrade but a fresh custom build

Link below, feedback greatly appreciated!

Thanks!! My cousin wants a flashy case with some nice lights. If you have any other suggestions, he's willing to spend a little here for the cool look!

That case I posted is ARGB with 2x160mm front intake fans + 1x140mm exhaust fan. It's been less than a year since that case was released and it's already been named 'case of the year' by multiple tech sites. That dual tower cpu cooler I posted is also ARGB.  You can use MSI Mystic Light via the motherboard to control the ARGB or this controller down below which fits onto the front of that case.  It's in the description link I posted.

Get that controller here ....

https://www.newegg.com/p/1BK-07N9-00001

https://www.amazon.com/Lian-Li-Lancool-Controller-Black/dp/B0BNGMFN9R/

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1745541-REG/lian_li_lan216_1x_lancool_216_rgb_controller.html/

If your cousin really wants a light show then he can add a 120mm unipack to that case ... top and/or bottom.

https://pcpartpicker.com/products/case-fan/#m=62&s=120   <--- find those unipacks here.

And this is what he will end up with ... a seizure most likely.

It doesn't have RGB, but  you can always get a 5-pack RGB fans from any brand for $30-$45 and stick them inside. It's a damn shame to get a 4070 and 13400F in a $1800 rig. RGB is cool and all, but it doesn't make FPS numbers go higher. No point of your PC lighting up like a christmas tree and struggling to get 75 FPS on a 240Hz monitor. Also this being a new platform ensures that in a couple of years when he finally grows out of the RGB show and wants some proper performance, you simply reflash BIOS, drop in a more powerful CPU and get instant performance boost. Also wtf was this $110 Windows ?!? Be a normal person and buy a retail from any local store for $15-$25.

How come you didn't add a rear exhaust fan to that case?

with a pack of 5 fans like this one

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zFVD4D/deepcool-rf120m-565-cfm-120-mm-fans-5-pack-rf120m

He can add a rear and top exhaust fans as much as he likes. There are ENDLESS choices of (A)RGB fans out there, in any sort of shape, form, box and pack.

Or if he wants just a single rear exhaust:
