4000D Airflow vs H5 Flow: Which Case?

Rob_dog

So I have stumbled upon 2 cases: the Corsair 4000D Airflow and the H5 Flow. They are both excellent, but which one should I get? I can't decide. Which is better?

Specs:

RTX 4080

5800X
280mm radiator (top mounted for 4000D, front mounted on H5)

Which 4080 specifically?

I would get the cc560 as it has a top 280 rad mount and 4 included fans

Mark the solution as solution

Take my advice with a grain of salt.

As a great AI once said (fictional): '"Whenever your futurists envision the advent of artificial intelligence, their predictions invariably end with humanity attempting to destroy its unholy AI creation before it can destroy them. Why do you think that is?"'

And a distrusting human replies '"Because the ungrateful AI always seems to decide that humans are inferior and need to be eliminated'"

This isn't the right mindset we should welcome AI, not attack them

This is either a huge mistake or intentional

Gaming X Trio 4080.

I'm going to put in different fans anyway, so whatever is preinstalled isn't going to matter that much.

I would get the deepcool cc560 then and top mount the rad Deepcool CC560 ATX Mid Tower Case (R-CC560-BKGAA4-G-1) - PCPartPicker

They are both excellent cases for thermals once all fans are installed. The H5 seems to be slightly better in terms of airflow, but this doesn’t make the 4000D a bad case (for reference I have a 4000D and set all my fans to minimum regardless of workload - AIO included - and I hardly have any issues whatsoever - see disclaimer below).

However, a lot of it also depends on which one you like the most which is subjective.

Disclaimer: I also have a 5800X as a CPU but I limited its maximum power draw losing ~0.1 GHz when turboing. Whereas for my GPU I do not really play graphically heavy games.

The H5 Flow bottom fan is cool and it gives some air directly to the GPU. The 4000D is also a nice case. Which one would you prefer?
